Sierra Blanca Residence
Sierra Blanca Residence is a contemporary single-family house located in Palm Springs, designed to respond to the desert climate and expansive landscape of Southern California. The project explores a minimalist architectural language that emphasizes openness, horizontality, and a strong connection to the surrounding environment. The residence is composed of low, linear volumes that frame outdoor living spaces and establish a seamless transition between interior and exterior areas. Large sliding glass openings and shaded terraces extend the living spaces toward the pool and garden, allowing natural light and views to shape the daily experience of the house. Materiality is defined by a restrained palette of light plaster surfaces, warm wood elements, and natural stone textures — reflecting the region's modernist architectural heritage while maintaining a calm and timeless aesthetic.
Sierra Blanca needed imagery that captured the openness and horizontality of desert modernism, communicating how the low, linear volumes frame outdoor living and dissolve the boundary between interior and landscape.
We worked with clear desert daylight, long shadows, and a restrained palette of plaster, wood, and stone — composing wide horizontal frames that emphasise calm, timeless proportion and the dialogue between architecture and Southern California light.
The visuals presented Sierra Blanca as a serene, market-ready desert residence, supporting design review and the project's presentation narrative.
